It's never to late, Break the Addiction

What To Bring

At Sprout Health California, we are dedicated to helping clients get as much from their program as possible.

what to bringIf you are in a rehab program, that is a good thing. It means you or a loved one are taking necessary steps to start life anew. At Sprout Health California, we always advise our clients, and relatives/friends, of supplies to bring that will help play a successful role in their recovery. While staying at one of our California drug rehab facilities, we have provided a list of necessities that can certainly help make your stay a more pleasant one.

Also, there are certain items that are not allowed in our facilities. Knowing what to bring, and having it there for your convenience allows you to stay focused on your program. We do not require you to bring a complete wardrobe, only those things you will need for a seven to ten-day period. You will of course be able to do your laundry.

What to Bring:

  • Bring personal identification. This includes your Social Security card, driver license, and insurance information.
  • A sweater, jacket, sweatshirt, pants, warm-up suits, or anything that can keep you warm at night. Bring comfortable shoes as well.
  • Do not forget to bring undergarments and socks, enough to last for a week.
  • Include pajamas, a bathrobe, and slippers.
  • You will need a hair dryer, curling iron, flat iron, or a travel iron.
  • You will only need once suitcase.
  • Many of our clients bring a duffle bag or a larger backpack.

Bring your current medications, if any. While we are treating you for an addiction, we want to make sure that you are keeping up with any prescriptions you may already have. Bring any vitamins or minerals as well. Our team wants to review everything so that we can design a treatment plan that benefits you. We simply want to make sure that any supplement you are taking will not interfere with your treatment plan.

Additional Items to Bring

As we said, our goal is to make sure you are comfortable. So only bring those items that will help you to feel at home, while allowing you to focus on the program and getting well. Your sleep essentials, like blankets and pillows will of course help you to sleep better at night. Many of our clients enjoy listening to music. So be sure and bring your MPS player or an iPod if you wish.

Just keep in mind that you should play music that places you in a relaxed mood. You may want to avoid bringing any devices that have data transmission capabilities, like a laptop or tablet. There are other forms of detox, and many people find themselves addicted to their digital devices. You may enjoy disconnecting from the grid to be a refreshing experience.

Reading material, books or magazines, are always an excellent choice. Your watch, a journal to write, and stamps may come in handy.

What Not to Bring

At Sprout Health California, we are dedicated to helping clients get as much from their program as possible. When we suggest not to bring something, it is not a form of punishment, only the desire to keep you focused. Do not bring the following:

  • Over-the-the counter-medications that are not approved be a licensed medical practitioner.
  • Drug or alcohol paraphernalia.
  • Clothing or personal items that promote drug or alcohol use. This include clothing as well.
  • No items that contain any forms of alcohol including rubbing alcohol, perfume, hairsprays, cologne, or hydrogen peroxide.
  • Do not bring any energy drinks, candles, sage, incense, hair dyes, polish removers, or nail polish.
  • Leave your scissor or tweezers at home.
  • Video games are off limits. You can understand our need to both your privacy and that of others.

As we stated, our goal is to provide an environment and treatment plan that allow you to remain focused on the present. We take drug rehab addiction treatment quite seriously. Call today and schedule an appointment.
