Frequently Asked Questions

Anyone considering treatment for substance abuse or addiction has many questions. While we cannot answer every questions that might come up for you, we have provided responses to the most common questions below.

If you have any questions that you do not see answered here, please call us at (866) 480-8711, or contact us here. Our admissions coordinators are available to assist you 24 hours a day.

  • AM I ALLOWED TO SMOKE CIGARETTES?
    • In accordance with California law, there is no smoking inside any of Sprout Health of California’s facilities.

Smoke breaks outside of the facilities are provided throughout the treatment day.

  • WHAT IS THE PHONE POLICY?
    • For patients in one of our partial-hospitalization programs, there are no phone privileges during the first 10 days of treatment. Any important or emergent issues during this “blackout” period must be handled during the treatment day, through the client’s primary therapist or case manager.

Following the blackout period, patients are permitted phone passes twice, but only to call people approved by the client’s primary therapist.

Client’s in Sprout Health of California’s outpatient programs are not permitted to bring their phones into the facilities during treatment hours.

  • WHAT IS THE VISITATION POLICY?
    • There are no set visitation times at Sprout Health of California. Visitation is arranged through a client’s primary therapist, but only after at least one family session has taken place.

  • HOW LONG IS TREATMENT?
    • Typically, our Recovery treatment programs last from 30-90 days.

The length of any client’s treatment program depends upon the client’s individual needs and clinical recommendations.

  • IS MEDICAID OR MEDICARE ACCEPTED?
    • No. Unfortunately we do not accept Medicaid or Medicare at this time. However, we can refer you to a provider that may be able to help.

  • IS INSURANCE ACCEPTED?
    • We work with most major insurance companies. When you call us at 866-480-8711, we will verify your insurance coverage, and let you know estimates of any potential co-pays or out-of-pocket costs prior to admission.

Your eligibility and level of insurance coverage is an issue between you and your insurer, but we do our best to assist you in maximizing your available coverage.

  • HOW DO I GET ADMITTED?
    • Admission to Sprout Health of California’s treatment programs is easy to arrange. Just call our admission team at 866-480-8711. Our intake coordinators can assist you with any questions you may have, including insurance verification and payment questions.

A required pre-admission screening takes place over the phone. The screening usually takes 10-20 minutes. Pre-admission screening helps to identify any issues that could delay your admission or your treatment. (For example, medical records may need to be submitted prior to admission.)

In the absence of any special circumstances, we can usually arrange admission within the one of its programs the same day as your initial phone call.
