Become an Alumni Contact
Half the battle of the struggle with mental illness and addiction is completing a treatment program and beginning recovery.
After graduating from a treatment program, staying committed to rehabilitation and recovery is a constant battle. During treatment, patients learn new skills and other useful tools to combat their condition; however, no matter how much they have learned, it is not an easy task to remain committed, especially if they are doing it alone.
People are socially dependent and reach out to others when in need. It is natural to ask for help and support from others. The first step in recovery is acknowledging there is a problem and seeking help to fix it. When patients become alumni, it is because they have shown their commitment to recovery through their daily actions.
Patients in recovery and those that are struggling with mental sickness should remain in communication with rehabilitation services in order to preserve their stability. Having a devoted and vigilant team to provide assistance will keep patients on the right path to recovery.
Events With Alumni
Patients must continually strive to remain committed to rehabilitation because relapse is always within reach. There are therapies and after care programs that help but the best chance for a successful patient is an alumni program.
Alumni programs host events that promote treatment after recovery and bring people who struggle with dependence together in a positive environment. Attempting to live a life of sobriety alone will only enhance the possibility of relapse. Alumni programs can help those that are struggling advance on to a successful life in rehabilitation.
Alumni Program Benefits
Alumni programs not only support clients to stay sober, but also encourage them to continue to practice their treatment therapies in everyday life. The hosted events allow people to gain confidence and to encourage and offer support to others in similar circumstances.
