The NIMH provides information on avoiding and treating psychological illnesses, while EA is a 12-step program designed to support emotional well-being. There are also websites, like the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), that presents patients with disorder facts and directs them to encouragement communities. The website offers patients access to government information about psychological treatment, including facts on varying mental health disorders and forms of treatment.

Knowledge is Power

There are plenty of websites that offer information and guidance for mental health and substance abuse. Online sources are a great place to start a search for help; however, it should not be the only place to look because not all websites are reliable or credible.
